What is known so far about the explosion in Beirut?

At least 78 people were killed and 4,000 others injured in a massive bombing that rocked the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Tuesday, the Lebanese health minister told Reuters. It is still unclear what exactly caused the explosion, centered in the city port area.

The Lebanese prime minister said an investigation would focus on about 2,750 tonnes of explosive ammonium nitrate, stored in a depot for six years.
